We can honestly tell you that, as the Youth League Directors, we are excited and thoroughly pleased with the Youth Program for the Buffalo Wings.  The Wings League, once just best known for the Adult Pro Team, is picking up momentum for much younger players, both experienced and new to the game.  Last summer, we had 3 year olds just learning to skate as well as young players who were ready to venture into Travel Tournament play for the first time.  It was an exciting Summer.  This year, once again the Wings hope to recruit as many young players as possible to build the future of the Wings player base.  Everyone has to start somewhere so we're thrilled to give playing opportunities to EVERYONE who wants to play.  We've tried to make it affordable to get started and have encouraged our experienced, tenacious players to battle for medals in Tournament caliber hockey.  Every last player has improved their level of play and seemed to have had a great time while doing it. The Buffalo Wings Skills and Drills Spring Session is currently under-way.  There's a mixture of new and veteran players.  A bunch of players followed us from the Amherst (Pepsi) Center out to the Kenan Arena in Lockport and have continued to develop their skills. Some of the youngest players have made HUGE strides and are so exciting to watch!  There are pictures of the Skills-n-Drills players posted on the Buffalo Wings Facebook page. (Add Buffalo Wings to you Facebook friends to view pictures).

Most of the current players are actually ready for the Buffalo Wings House League which will start at the end of April at the Amherst Center and run until the end of August.  There are Youth Divisions planned for 12 years of age and under (12U) and 10 years of age and under (10U) as well as all of the older divisions.  And we're definitely looking for goalies as well as players.  Of course, this summer, the Buffalo Wings will still offer the FREE Learn-to-Play Program for players from 3 - 14 years old and Beginner's League for those not quite ready for House League.  Professional Instruction and coaching will once again be provided.

There have been a ton of inquiries about the Youth Tournament teams that are going to be formed.  The Wings would like to send as many teams that can be formed with players who have a competitive chance to win.  So to those of you already involved - EXCELLENT!!  -Start gearing up again for try-outs!  And those of you 'first-timers' who are interested - What are you waiting for....?

Our Beginner's need to know that there's a whole world of In-Line Hockey out there waiting for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See you at the Rink!!
