Naps Tournament Comes to Buffalo Buffalo Wings League enters mid-summer break (6/17-7/6)

Posted: June 16, 2011 12:57PM; Updated: June 16, 2011 12:30PM While
everyone on the roller hockey scene will be enjoying fun in the sun for
the next two weeks, the action won’t stop at the Northtowns Center at
Amherst, as they are hosting the North American Prospects Showcase ice
hockey tournament. With a slew on teams from all age groups coming to
Buffalo, the games will begin, with all four rinks in full force ice
mode! NAPS dates back to 2004, where it began as a single weekend event
in Syracuse as a means for young players to compete against others from
around the world. With a mission to provide an elite AAA grade
tournament encompassing the highest level of play, NAPS has grown and
evolved into an event stretch over at least two weeks, with expanding
international play and now an all girls division! So in the midst of our
hiatus from roller hockey, if you’re looking to get your hockey fix,
stop by the Northtowns Center to check out the competition. Otherwise,
rest up because in a few short weeks, the Buffalo Wings summer session
2011 will really be heating up as we begin the push to the playoffs!
